FAQs
House Rules
Nobody loves talking about rules, but let’s face it — we all appreciate them when they make life smoother for everyone. We don’t have many, and they’re mostly just common sense, but still worth a gentle reminder.
Noise
Whether you’re here with mates, kids, or a four-legged friend, we ask that everyone’s mindful of those around them. If your dog’s getting a bit barky, the banter’s turning rowdy, or the little one’s having a moment, we might need to have a quiet word to help keep things comfortable for all. We’re a small space, and we want everyone’s visit to feel just right. Fair’s fair.
Children
We’re happy to welcome well-behaved children who are comfortable in a grown-up dining environment. While we don’t offer kids’ menus, high chairs, or baby-changing facilities, but we regularly host guests and their lovely little ones. We kindly ask that younger children join us for lunch (before our dinner service begins at 5pm), while young adults (over 8’s) are very welcome for dinner. We have a limited number of child-friendly tables, so please do let us know when booking if you’ll need one.
Dogs
We’re proudly dog-friendly, but we do need to limit the number of furry friends in the space at any one time. As any dog owner knows, the more pups in the room, the more unpredictable things can get. To keep things harmonious for everyone, we manage this carefully during busy periods. If you’re bringing your pooch, please mention it when booking so we can make sure there’s space for you both.
Dietary Needs & Allergies
We want everyone to enjoy their time with us, so here’s how we handle dietary preferences and allergies across our menus.
À La Carte
We don’t specifically cater for special diets or allergies, but you’ll find a good selection of dishes that are vegetarian, pescatarian, shellfish-free, nut-free, and gluten-free. If you have particular requirements, feel free to ask — we’ll always do our best to guide you through the options available.
We will not cook meats to order, for example, our steaks are cooked on the dark side of pink. We’d advise ordering something else if you’re after one cooked any other way.
Set Menu
We offer alternative versions of our set menu to suit vegetarians, pescatarians, and guests with shellfish, fish, nut, or gluten allergies. Please note we’re not currently able to offer dairy-free alternatives for the set menu. If you are pregnant, get in touch and we can explain what accommodations we can make for your diet.
A Quick Word on Allergies
While we always take care, our kitchen handles all major allergens and we can’t guarantee against cross-contamination. If you have a serious allergy, please speak to us in advance so we can advise you properly and help you make an informed decision.
